MAP Academy

Courses and Trainings

MAP Academy teaches the strategic application of media and arts tools for the purpose of achieving peace, justice, and security around the world. We inspire diverse audiences and spark new ideas on how to build peace in your ecosystem.

We also help clients avoid the risks of their narratives backfiring by ensuring that the strategies are informed by local culture and norms.

We work with high schools, universities, executive education programs, government agencies, and companies that want to learn more about how to do this in their own context. We tailor our course and training content to the specific needs and wants of our clients, and we often combine training with other services provided in MAP Designs.

MAP Talent
MAP inspires current and future leaders to solve complex problems through creative outlets and improve their ability to be effective agents of change.

Research

We are constantly updating the information we use in our courses, trainings, and seminars by pursuing cutting-edge research on media and arts in peacebuilding. We work with top-notch researchers and academics to identify best practices of media and arts in peacebuilding, develop new techniques, and monitor and evaluate media- and arts-based initiatives around the world. MAP showcases these lessons in its courses.
Resources

Public Speaking

We will often invite media and arts professionals that we represent as guest speakers during our courses and trainings. MAP's co-founders also speak publicly on these topics on a regular basis to advance the public narrative of the power of media and arts in peacebuilding. Since 2017, the founders have directly reached an audience of over 2,800 people through 30+ speaking engagements.
